Water Play

A Fabulous Watercolour Workshop for Beginner Adult Artists

Saturday 24th February, 9:30a.m. – 12.30p.m.

Come and join the delightful artist, Marguerite Tierney, for this three hour Watercolour Workshop

Suitable for raw beginners, this is an introduction to watercolour painting, where you will learn the fundamentals of this beautiful water medium, studying botanicals and natural elements. You will be both skill-building and experimenting, with colour and a myriad of watercolour techniques, while learning about the possibilities of this medium and also creating your own, beautiful, unique and creative artwork.

Workshop duration: 3 hours.

About the Artist-

Marguerite Tierney, a highly talented Melbourne Artist, is now based in Newcastle and brings a wealth of experience to your workshop, with her wonderful teaching, degrees from both Sydney and Melbourne Universities and a wide experience across many art-forms. Named as one of Australia’s top 50 emerging artists, you will enjoy to work with this vibrant talent!

Figure Drawing Short Course

6 weeks, starting Tuesday 27th February 2018

Our Figure-Drawing Class – a drawing experience like no other!

This class is suitable for Beginners through to Accomplished artists (including Senior HSC* and as an excellent grounding for Tertiary Art/ Design/ Fashion students)

With a highly professional approach to drawing from Life, a strong emphasis on traditional, representational skills and a vast array of both traditional and contemporary techniques, you will be trained in observation, measurement and then the creative expression of the most fascinating and challenging subject matter throughout all art history – the human form.

This is a small class, with a great deal of personal attention, and creative support, so Book Now!

*Please note, for these figure drawing classes there will be a wide range of traditional Life and Figure Drawing subject-matter, including anatomy, art history and the drawing and/or painting of both clothed and nude models, therefore Junior Artists are not able to join us for these classes, but are invited to enjoy our Tweens and Teens classes at other times
