Classes and Location

Classes held at ARTISTS SHED, Unit 1-3 Lower Level, 88 Wollongong Street Fyshwick (also known as the Margaret Hadfield Gallery Studio -

Our classes cater for ALL Abilities and Medium. Classes are personalised, professional and supportive

Your investment for these courses, paid by Direct Deposit, will be $175 for four weeks (i.e. every four weeks – so if there is a 10 week term, there would be two payments + the balance for the last two weeks of $87)

Monday morning – The basics of drawing and painting

Ages: 18 – 180
Skill Level: All abilities welcome. This class covers the basics of drawing (to establish traditional skills as building blocks for further accomplished painting and drawing)
Time:  Mondays from 10:00am – 12:00pm

“Can’t draw a straight line (..but would love to have a go)?”

In this class you’ll learn the basics of drawing (…just like Leonardo did, but WAY more fun!). This new way of thinking and seeing will then become your ‘building blocks’ for more drawing skills and all other art-making (…yes, even painters, printmakers, sculptors and crafters need to draw!)

A small materials list will be provided on enrolling.

Monday afternoon – skill building in drawing, painting and mixed media

Ages: 18 – 180
Skill Level: All abilities welcome.
Time:  Mondays from 12:30pm – 2:30pm

This class will include a mix of media and ideas, with drawing as the main underpinning – moving to painting as skills progress. This class is intended to skill-build, as an opportunity to learn about artist’s practice, art-making and Art History and will include trying a range of medium, techniques and both traditional and contemporary ways of thinking – including artcrafts – as ‘creativity’ will be at its core (rather than just one medium and subject-matter). This will be suitable for beginners and accomplished artists and will also invite personal projects as well as ideas and preferences from its participants

Wednesday classes will not be running in 2020 at this stage.
